In 18 years as a journalist, Katherine has written hundreds of articles that appeared in dozens of different publications, from the Kalamazoo Gazette to Money, MSN Money, the New York Times, Parade, USA Today and the Washington Post Magazine. She's a Fortune contributor, and she created and writes the About.com working moms site. As national correspondent for Newhouse News Service, Katherine contributed to the New Orleans Times-Picayune coverage of Hurricane Katrina that won the newspaper a Pulitzer Prize in 2005.
Previously, Katherine worked for Bloomberg News and the Bond Buyer, a municipal bond industry publication based in New York City. She and her husband are the proud parents of three daughters and live in the Washington D.C. area.
