After a few false starts, Denise’s history of full-time, corporate-oriented, salary-paid employment was dominated by working for one of the top four banks in Australia, followed by an international management consultancy. She officially ‘retired’ from a salaried position in 1997, after eventually becoming disenchanted with working in the corporate jungle.
In 1996, Denise’s life did take some rather unexpected turns. At the ripe old age of 36, Denise found herself unemployed, homeless, and pregnant, in a single kind of way!
It was at this time that her entrepreneurial spirit was ignited and the entrepreneurial mother was born! With some clever and hard innovative work, Denise took over aCE talentNET on a national level in 2000 and built a solid foundation for its continued growth and just as importantly, the life around it. aCE talentNET is now run entirely by entrepreneurial mothers (and one father!), just like herself.
Today her “designed” life is ticking over nicely, and she is spending more of her time assisting other entrepreneurial mothers design and live that dream lifestyle - including the travels she (and daughter) so dearly love, using business as the platform. Having just returned from her latest adventure to Spain, Morocco, Portugal, France and the UK, she has much to share with fellow travelling, and non- travelling, mothers alike!
Denise believes that Frank Sinatra’s song ‘I did it my way’ pretty much epitomises her journey to date and will no doubt continue to do so. She is not one to blindly follow others, but rather blazes her own individual trail, a fact that is evident in her story… thus far.
