Laura Holland is a freelance journalist and blogger. As a work-at-home mom of two, she tries to make meals that are easy, inexpensive, and healthy.
Laura’s favorite strategies for de-stressing and staying sane: (1) eating small amounts of top quality extra-bittersweet chocolate (which she buys for baking in 11 lb. bars from a restaurant supplier); and (2) baking. The laundry piles may climb to the ceiling, the writing deadlines may ominously loom, but there is always time to pull out the KitchenAid mixer and whip up dessert.
Having learned from her mother and grandmother, Laura has been baking since childhood. Following her lifelong passion, Laura graduated in 2001 from the I.C.E. (Institute of Culinary Education) Pastry & Baking Arts professional program.
You can also visit Laura at her other blog, where she muses on all things culinary.
